Today I woke up learning about Trey Reed and Corey Zukatis - both found hanging on a tree. This last week has been tough; let me share why.
A year ago, I almost died. I know exactly why. So, since then, I’ve been considering how many people die without knowing Jesus. That’s the ultimate tragedy.
My last post lost me 4 subscribers from this substack. I get why.
But I hate death with everything in my soul. I fear that all we will continue to hear is story after story of hate having its way in our world.
Matthew 5:21–22 (NKJV)
21“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’
22But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.
Hate is murder, and murderers go to hell.
This means that hating someone for the color of their skin makes you a murderer.
Do you understand how serious that statement is? Jesus is saying the difference between hate and murder is just the act.
Everyone who hates is capable of murder, and that is dangerous.
We’ve let a lot of hate creep in; what happens as a result is what we’re witnessing. I will play my role in combating it with every breath.
Because the death of unrepentant people robs them of an opportunity to hear the Gospel.
It’s not enough to love God; you must hate wickedness.
Hebrews 1:9 (NKJV)
9You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
I find myself trying to be more intentional with my words because I would hate to be the reason why someone else hates me.
But honestly, IF I’m hated for Christ's sake, then it’s beyond me.
Jesus is coming soon.
We are witnessing lynchings…
You need to be praying and in your Bible.
Every effort from your body should be aligned with the Kingdom.
It’s devastating what is going on.
Pray.
